Jon Rahm fired a final round 71 to finish at -16 and take home the Mexico Open at Vidanta, the first time the Mexico Open was featured as a FedexCup Event. At No. 2 in the world, Rahm was a heavy favorite, and he played that way from his opening 64. With the win, Rahm jumps to sixth place in the FedExCup standings. The win in Puerto Vallarta was Rahm’s first win since he won the 2021 US Open at Torrey Pines, which was his first career major championship victory.
“I like to think every time I tee it up I'm a favorite. I play to win,” Rahm said. “Fortunately, I got my seventh PGA TOUR win. It was a pretty stressful weekend, all the way to the end.”

The Mexico Open at Vidanta is set to take place in Puerto Vallarta for the next two years as part of the FedexCup.
